A Home Run For Participation

Home Run was launched in 2011 as an antidote to Londoners’ daily commute; a series of free guided group runs home from work, where participants’ bags are transported to the end of the run. The original idea for Home Run was inspired by the Mayor of London’s Skyride. One of the objectives of which is to encourage people away from the already over-crowded transport network. Our challenge was to see if we could encourage even more people to leave the Tube behind and travel by another means of transport; running.

Redefining Sport™ was first launched internally at Limelight at the end of 2010 in an effort to capture the uniqueness of our business. Brands and Grassroots Sports Sponsorship

This article looks at different ways that brands can engage in grassroots sports sponsorship and highlights some guidelines for best practice. It stresses the need to provide linkages and pathways to existing sports development infrastructure. Since writing the article I have changed my views slightly. The growth in social media has enabled informal and recreational sporting communities to be sustained outside the traditional sports network. ….. Find out more
